GLAZED DONUTS

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ¼ cups sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 ¼ cups fresh milk
  • toppings: sprinkles, nuts, marshmallow, almonds or chocolate chips

Chocolate Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1-2 tbsp water or milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Vanilla Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tbsp milk

Mocha Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp instant coffee powder
  • 1-2 tbsp milk

Alcapone Glaze

  • 140g white chocolate
  • 2-3 tbsp hot milk
  • sliced almonds (toppings)

Procedure:

  • In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon and salt. Mix well and set aside.
  • In another bowl, combine the wet ingredients: melted butter, sugar, beaten egg and vanilla extract.
  • Beat the wet ingredients until combine. Add milk.
  • Then, put the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
  • Brush the donut mold with butter.
  • Pour the batter into the greased donut mold.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 320 F / 160 C for 20 mins.
  • After baking, transfer to a cooling rack. Allow to cool completely.

How to Glaze Donuts

  • Just mix all the ingredients.
  • Dip donuts into the glaze and top with your preferred toppings.

Note: If the glaze texture is runny just add more powdered sugar to have a thick texture.

Makes 15 pcs donuts
