• 1  cup  warm fresh milk
  • 2 1/4 tsp instant dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3  cups  all-purpose flour (plus more for kneading)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Cinnamon Roll Filling

  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 6 tbsp softened butter
  • ¼ cup sugar

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 4 oz softened cream cheese
  • 4 tbsp softened butter
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract

  • In a large bowl, add 1 cup warm milk, 1 tsp sugar and 2 ¼ tsp instant dry yeast. Stir to combine. Allow to sit for 10 minutes or until mixture becomes bubbly. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients: 3 cups flour and ¼ tsp salt. Stir to combine. Set aside.
  • Grease the baking pan with butter. Set aside.
  • After 10 minutes, the yeast mixture becomes bubbly. Add 2 tbsp melted butter, ¼ cup sugar and 1 large egg. Mix well until combined.
  • Add the flour and stir. Add more flour at a time until it forms into a dough.
  • Knead dough by hand for 5 minutes. Add flour at a time until dough is no longer sticking to fingertips.
  • Knead until dough becomes smooth.
  • Put some oil in a bowl, place the dough.
  • Cover with cloth and allow to rise for about an hour or until it doubles in size.
  • Dust a clean work surface with flour. Place the dough onto the floured surface. Sprinkle dough with flour.
  • Use a rolling pin to flatten dough into a rectangle.
  • Brush the surface of dough with softened butter.
  • Combine the 2 tbsp ground cinnamon with ¼ cup sugar. Stir together until combine.
  • Sprinkle all of it evenly into the buttered dough.
  • Roll the dough to form a log. Slice the dough into equal-sized rolls. You can use string or dental floss in slicing the rolls.
  • Arrange cinnamon rolls into the baking pan. Cover with cloth and let rise for 30 minutes.
  • Brush top of the rolls with melted butter.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F / 175°C for 25 minutes or until top is lightly golden brown.
  • Top the cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting.
  • Enjoy!

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • In a medium bowl, combine 4 ounces cream cheese and 4 tbsp softened butter. Beat with an electric mixer until creamy.
  • Add 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract and 3/4 cup powdered sugar. Continue mixing until creamy.
